Emersed in Street Art
Year: 2017 - 2020
During this period, I was fully committed to painting street art. I had just moved from Sydney to Crescent Head and immersed myself completely in my practice. I used to dream of living alone on a surf coast, and suddenly I was there. It’s funny how, when we get what we ask for, we often return with the receipt.

I drew inspiration from everything I grew up with—pop culture, iconic imagery, and visual references that shaped my understanding of aesthetics. Some works were driven by conscious design decisions, while others emerged from more subconscious layers of meaning.

This period also became an exploration of medium and process. I experimented widely with decoupage, stencils, wheatpasting, screen printing, and enamel painting. Some pieces were created digitally, printed, and then physically reworked and texturised by hand, blending digital precision with raw, tactile expression.

Skateboards
Year: 2017 - 2020
There has always been a strong desire to create skateboard art—drawing from pop culture references, iconic film stars, and music legends. I’ve naturally aligned with skateboarding culture, particularly the street scene rather than vert, perhaps as an extension of surfing and its fluid, expressive movement.

Street Art | The intention grows stronger
Year: 2021 - 2026
Some incredible characters emerged from this series, each carrying its own energy, attitude, and story. I’m excited to now expand this work into the mural space and continue evolving the visual language on a larger scale.

The collection draws from a wide spectrum of influence—Felix the Cat, Nirvana, Ice Cube, alongside broader pop culture references, classical studies inspired by Rembrandt, and elements of Greek mythology.

It’s a dialogue between eras and icons—where street culture, fine art, music, and myth all sit in the same frame, ready to be reinterpreted through paint.
